Dear Adventurer,
I write to acquaint you with World Events, a tracker for Guild Wars 2, built to run within the Nexus framework, marking upon your map every world boss, invasion, and meta chain as it happens, and carrying word of the unscheduled wonders that fellow adventurers report.
We may inform you hereby that this addon was conceived with considerable aid of Claude, of Anthropic, consulted throughout on matters of architecture, the mending of faults, and the keeping of records.
Before you set out: the addon requires only the Nexus framework and the game itself; your position is read from Mumble Link, already present. You may find World Events in the Nexus Library, or place the .dll yourself in Guild Wars 2/addons, then simply press Load. Should you read Chinese, load a font that supports it in Nexus (Sarasa Gothic serves well).

World Events keeps a running account of every boss, invasion, and meta chain across Tyria, and marks it plainly upon your map. No wiki tab required. It was highly inspired by Sognus's World Bosses addon.

Full map meta chains across Living World, Heart of Thorns, Path of Fire, Icebrood Saga, End of Dragons, Secrets of the Obscure, Janthir Wilds, and Visions of Eternity.
Events with no schedule, such as Treasure Mushrooms, reported by players as they appear.
Some events keep no schedule at all. Switch on live events in the Live tab and, when you stand near one, a report button appears in the upper-right corner: click it to tell everyone on your map instance that the event is up. Subscribe to an event and you will receive a toast whenever anyone in your region (EU or NA) reports it, wherever you are. Reports are anonymous unless you choose to share your character name, which lets others whisper you with a click. Region detection needs a GW2 API key.
Subscribe to any Basic Event, or to a single occurrence within a meta chain, and raise its notify level as you wish: silent, with a toast, or with a sound (any .wav you place in the sounds folder). The Subscriptions bar shows a rolling two-hour window; the watchlist window gives the fuller picture. Click any entry to paste its waypoint code into the chat channel of your choice, right-click to mark it done for today.
Events that count toward this week's Wizard's Vault objectives are surfaced automatically, with a thin red border, until the objective is complete for the week.
Add an official GW2 API key with the account and progression permissions to mark off the 13 classic world bosses and the Hero's Choice Chests already claimed today, follow your Vault progress, and let the addon tell your region for live toasts. Without a key, everything else still works exactly the same; only these features stay quiet. The key is stored encrypted on your machine.
