The Challenge
Where It Started
The original idea was simple: kill Dhuum on Challenge Mode as many times as the day of the month. One kill on December 1st, two on the 2nd, all the way up to 31 kills on New Year's Eve.
Add it all up and you get 496 kills. It has been attempted before, and the daily ramp makes it brutally hard: the last week alone asks for 196 kills, right when the holidays leave the least time to play.
The New Format
Same goal, 496 kills by the end of December, but no more scaling difficulty. Instead, you play a fixed block of 2 to 4 hours every day and grind as many fast, clean kills as you can. If you want to play more or fewer hours, that's also totally fine!
Every single kill counts toward your grand total, and every run keeps spots open for players who are still looking for their own Dhuum CM kill.
The Rules
Daily Session
Play for 2 to 4 hours at a set time every day throughout December, regardless of the date. Pick a block that works for you and your group, and stick to it.
You can also skip a day or two! Play in your own time!
Every Kill Counts
There is no limit on how many times you can kill Dhuum CM in a single session. Every kill goes toward your grand total.
496 by New Year's
Accumulate exactly 496 total kills by midnight on December 31st.
Or if you really feel like it, you can keep going beyond 496!
Guest Spots
Traditionally each run would bring along 1-4 first-timers, it's entirely up to you how difficult or easy you want to make it for yourself!
Keep track of how many first Dhuum CM kills you manage to achieve!
Speed over Scaling
Instead of scaling up the difficulty daily, grind as many fast kills as possible during your sessions to hit the monthly milestone.
The Pace
496 kills over 31 days is 16 kills a day. That is about 8 kills an hour in a 2 hour block, or 4 kills an hour in a 4 hour block.
Get Involved
Form a Group

Rewards
Achievements
Dhuum's Butcher: kill Dhuum 250 times. CM kills count triple! You can get the achievement in as little as 84 clears.
Raid Mentor: Dhuum: help 1000 other players get their first Dhuum kill. Every guest you bring along to their first clear counts toward it.
Dhuumscale
Every kill is another roll at the ultra rare Dhuumscale drop. Nearly 500 kills is about as good as your odds will ever get.
Gem Codes
We are planning to give away gem codes to participants.
The exact prizes are not decided yet, as we want to give every participant a fair chance and not just those that complete the challenge or get furthest.
You can expect rewards for furthest completion, overkill (going beyond 496), most first-timers and similar categories.
Check back later, or keep an eye on the Raidcore Discord for the announcement.
