Never miss a birthday reward again

 

Birthday Reminder is a Nexus addon for Guild Wars 2 that tracks your account characters’ birthdays, shows upcoming gift tiers, and alerts you before rewards are due. It also supports manual friend birthdays and optional gift inventory tracking.

 

 

Features

 

Characters tab — Fetches birthdays from the GW2 API (requires an API key with characters permission)

Gift tiers — Shows current and next birthday gift tier using the same 365-day cycle as /age in-game

Countdown list — Sorted table with color highlights for upcoming birthdays

Popup reminders — In-game alert when a birthday is within your chosen threshold (1–30 days)

Alert sound — Optional custom sound (MP3/WAV) when a reminder fires

Friends tab — Add manual birthdays (name, date, optional note)

Gift Inventory tab — Track birthday gift items (integrates with Hoard & Seek when available)

Quick Access icon — Top-bar button to open the window (default hotkey: Alt+B, rebindable in Nexus)

 

 

 

Setup

 

Install the DLL through Nexus (or place it in your Nexus addons folder).

Open Birthday Reminder from the Nexus menu or top bar.

Create a GW2 API key at account.arena.net/applications with characters permission.

Paste the key on the Characters tab and click refresh.

Adjust reminder days and alert sound on the Settings tab.

 

 

Tips

 

Birthdays use your local timezone.

Characters whose birthday already passed this year show days until the next one.

Use Refresh on the Characters tab to recalculate countdowns manually.

Milestone gift tiers are years 1–10; year 11+ repeats the same package as year 10.
