Community Update Summer 2026: The Future of Raidcore
13 June, 2026
Greetings!
It's been a while since the last community update. With Guild Wars 3 finally announced (told you so), we think it's time for a little retrospective and to lay out the road ahead for Raidcore and all its projects in development.
Website Launch
Earlier this year, we've launched the new website. It was quite a rushed release and it's far from finished, but it's growing steadily with new content while also being polished.
Addons
The launch of the website was necessary to streamline the addon publishing process and also give players who are not using Nexus yet an overview of what they are missing out on. Since its launch we've seen a major increase of new addons and features across the board, bringing us to a total of 96 published addons (and a bunch still in development!) with over 40 authors!
Guides
The next goal or goals with the website is to add more content. Specifically we're working on content guides for Guild Wars Reforged, Guild Wars 2 and when its ready, Guild Wars 3. We want those guides to be a bit different than existing guides for these games. We feel like existing guides just slap you a wall of text and say "learn". We want to approach guides differently, giving you bite-sized information to understand and the opportunity to deepen your knowledge.
Builds
Another guides and builds website? Yes! Just like with guides, we feel like existing builds do not teach you anything. You are handed a build on a silver platter, with little to no context of the synergy, where the damage is coming from, or where you can simplify it. Our approach will be different. We want to encourage meta builds, but we also want to enable more creative buildcraft. More news on that when the time is right.
The goal
We want Raidcore to become the number one resource for all matters Guild Wars (and possibly beyond). This is no easy task, especially entering a "market" which is already as oversaturated as Guild Wars 2. It's a long road ahead and we hope you'll join us either as a player or maybe even as a contributor.
Nexus
Nexus itself has been left on the table for some time, while the focus had shifted to other projects. Which ultimately was fine, Nexus functions near perfectly, but the next step is to finish the architectural rewrite, add new features and improve the User Experience. There are some pain points that will be resolved when it comes to consistency between Nexus itself and its addons, such as InputBinds being shown but used GameBinds are in a completely separate menu, or more control over InputBinds in general. These issues will be addressed and we will actively need feedback and suggestions on all other pain points and new features for the next revision of the Addon API. We will also upgrade ImGui to 1.92.7 to match ArcDPS and allow per-addon style customisation, as many of you might want to style your Damage Meters differently than the rest of Nexus. We also still plan on an HTML-based UI to enable more rich displays, but we have nothing concrete there yet.
We have transitioned to fewer, but more feature-rich and polished addons when it comes to in-house developments and we'll continue on that path. We are streamlining shared libraries for easier use and maintenance. And we're enabling more addons through public libraries such as RealTime API.
Radial Menus in particular is due a complete rewrite. The addon has many bugs due to inherent design flaws and the codebase is difficult to work with. As part of one of the next initiatives Radial Menus will get a complete overhaul, refactoring and modernising the codebase. Long standing issues and feature requests will be resolved.
There are also two new major addons in development, one for cinematic purposes and another one which is a bit more difficult to label, but is a major foundation for accessibility. More on that soon.
Community
Addon Spotlight
Since the new website launched we've been wanting to give a special dedicated blog post to some addons, but this has been left on the table since many of the addon pages are still barren.
Starting July, there will be a Monthly Addon Spotlight. For your addon to be eligible you will need it to be Approved and Public, and it also needs to have a proper page! These spotlights will also get a dedicated video, highlighting the features and detailing general usage. So, better get your addon pages ready!
Discord
The community is growing and some of the addons and initiatives are also going to be on Discord. *cough LFG cough* Raidcore is growing far beyond addons & development and we'd like for the Discord to also reflect it becoming more of a social hub. Feel free to join, bring your friends and let's make cool stuff together.
Also make sure to join the Guild Wars 3 Discord Server! We are looking for other communities and creators and want to run this server together with everyone as a community effort!
Join the Team!
All of these initiatives require effort, as such we would really appreciate your help. We need developers, guide writers, build crafters, video editors and community leaders to run game events. If you'd like to leave your mark on an ambitious project, reach out to us!
You can also directly contribute to our open-source development projects on GitHub, if you prefer:
- Raidcore GitHub: https://github.com/RaidcoreGG
- Tyrian Developer Collective GitHub: https://github.com/TyrianDeveloperCollective
There are many projects in development, but that is all that can be shared today without going into specifics. Thank you all for being a part of this community, using the addons, sharing feedback and helping others. Without you Raidcore would've never grown this much in just 2 years.
